My shop is an eclectic collection of Homeware and Gifts that can only be described as 'country', 'classic', 'traditional', 'retro', 'vintage', 'cottage' or 'shabby chic'. Despite our fast changing world, the essence of 'shabby chic' has remained strong and true.  It draws on our sense of tradition, when items were made to last and despite their utility, they were pieces so well made that they have stood the test of time and even if they are not used they are worthy display items and should not be discarded.  They conjure up warm memories of our mothers, grandmothers and great grandmothers in the home and in the garden.  They are a testament to handmade and timeworn and are finding a new purpose by being salvaged and mixed with the new. 

Shabby chic mixes old and new in a casual, relaxed way and often with a sense of whimsy or surprise.  Above all, it is a style where comfort is key and self-expression is not only acceptable, but highly encouraged, as more and more young people express themselves by mixing vintage with the new in their interior design and decorating of their homes.
