Rocket
Growing
One of the easiest crops to sow from seed and results are quick,
another crop I think children should be encouraged to grow.
Sow in garden (or in a pot in winter as it is frost tender).
Sow seed at a depth of 1cm and space plants: 15-20cm
Plant every 2 to 3 weeks for a continuous supply.
Leafy green plant with lobed, dark green leaves. It has a slightly
mustard, spicy, nutty flavour.
The spiciness intensifies as the plant gets older.
Keep well watered in well drained ground.
Will go to flower rapidly in hot dry weather, so pinch the flowers off
to prolong the plant.

Rocket
Harvesting
Rocket in my garden

Harvest in 21-35 days, I love the "mustardy" taste of rocket and often mix it with other salad leaves from the garden to make a tasty green salad or add it to a stir-fry.  Just pick as many leaves as you need and let the plant produce more leaves.
