Things I love to Grow...
My love of gardening has existed since I was a small child I have many fond memories of digging up our family vegetable patch in Taupo, and hanging out with my Nana Kenny and Nana Barker in their gardens.  I use to love getting lost in my Nana Barker's garden for hours because it was huge.  Now I have my own garden and when my niece Caitlin (who affectionately has always called me "Aunty Fun") was 2 years old I offered to paint her a mural at the end of the "hidden garden" she insisted on flowers and a sun, so that's what she got.

I garden primarily to grow vegetables to feed ourselves and others and to fuel my love for cooking.  I can happily say that last summer I never spent a cent on vegetables, as I grew capsicums (including green, chocolate, banana & purple capsicums), cucumbers (including apple, Lebanese, short and telegraph cucumbers), tomatoes (including red and yellow cherry and dwarf tomatoes), all kinds of lettuces, rocket, spring onions, onions, garlic, potatoes, squash, pumpkins, radishes, beans, celery, strawberries etc.  This spring I am preparing my garden for summer...
