The Sum Of Fragments explores how our identity is shaped through layers Of experience. Built from intersecting marks, shapes, colours and textures. We emerge from moments remembered, lost and transformed. Each fragment holds a story; that together create our uniqueness.
Quiet introspection and ancient knowledge. Her flowing white-silver hair cascades gracefully down the side of a delicate moko kauae (traditional Māori chin tattoo), anchoring her expression in heritage and deep-rooted spiritual wisdom. This piece beautifully balances beauty with an aura of timeless experience.
This painting is an explosion of movement and colour, feeling maximalist and dreamlike. The way the giant red flowers are growing out of her hair and swirling around her head creating a sense of surrealism. Botanical vibe, surreal and dreamy. Looking into her internal dreamscape rather than external reality.
The mountain is broken down into stained-glass-like facets of colour making it feel both ancient and modern. A tiny, detailed cluster of white yacht masts at the base in the marina —gives the massive peak an incredible sense of scale and guardianship. The Mount is iconic, with sweeping feel that focuses on the majesty of the landform itself and its relationship with the sun and sea.
This piece is a sister painting to the "Garden of Sleep", smaller with a more intimate, concentrated energy. The composition is tighter, and the colours are more densely woven—like a tapestry of thoughts. Introspective & Whimsical, Mind Garden.
A warm and tender concentrated piece. A fusion of human emotion and the natural world, with figures emerging from yet dissolving into—a lush, vibrant garden. I tried to create a sense of protection and unity. Romantic & Intimate, focusing on the closeness of the two figures and the "unity" they’ve created.
I have cropped the face with a hat and focused on a wide eye giving it a "film noir" quality, but drenched in modern, and moody colours. This piece has a secretive energy, Cinematic & Noir, that feels like a close-up shot from a classic movie: Incognito.
A soulful, expressive portrait. The use of colour as light and shadow—especially the way the face is divided between warm and cool tones—gives it a lot of emotional depth. The Introspective & Soulful expression in the eyes I hope indicates a Quiet Knowing.
I tried to create a striking piece, bold, angular and with high contrast between the warm skin tones and the cool, teal background giving it a very soulful, contemplative almost 50’s energy. Inhale – taking a deep, and intentional breath.
A bold use of colour and the direct, steady gaze of the subject giving a lot of personality. A prism portrait that highlights the way the light is broken down into vibrant, non-traditional shades. "The Inner Kaleidoscope" because every time you look at her face, you see a different hue or texture you didn't notice before.
A piece with beautiful, deep teals and blues of my garden in early morning against the vertical strokes of red and yellow as the sun light rises and tries to squeeze and filter through a thick canopy. Organic, fluid, lush, focus on the leaf-like shapes and the feeling of a dense, hidden garden.
Turbulent and elemental piece, crashing wave, gusting winds, moody, deep, and has a "old-world" texture despite the vibrant colours. Raw, swirling energy of weather, water, and the natural forces at play: Midnight Gale.
This piece has a chilly texture—it captures the feeling of a frost-covered meadow and snow fall. The way the light blue at the top bleeds down into the dark, tangled greens and purples represents a heavy mist rolling in. Cool, atmospheric, seasonal and chilled, the dormant life of winter: First Fall.
A minimalist and moody piece. A sudden burst of energy from the earth, while the landscape remains heavy, quiet, and expansive. The way that white plume breaks the dark, horizontal bands of the horizon is powerful. Lonely, elemental, geothermal - focusing on the physical power of the earth and the steam rising from the ground as is the case in some many parts of Aotearoa New Zealand.
The gentle, wise soul of my beloved companion, friend and pet Foster. Foster is a 10-year-old ram we have raised as family. His serene, half-closed eyes and content expression, encapsulates Foster’s calm, wise, endearing spirit.
Folk-art charm, heavy black outlines and sweeping, layered hills give it a sense of rhythm—almost as if the earth itself is rolling like a wave. The tiny cottage with the smoke curling from the chimney adds a lovely sense of cozy isolation. A play on scale and movement. Emphasises the protective feeling of the giant green hills hence the title Emerald Shelter.
A tension between the rigid, geometric boxes and the hazy, atmospheric background. These tiles lean into the grid-like structure and the way the colours pop against the darker background, reminiscent to me of a city at night.
A light architectural energy of an architect’s sketchbook, with the bold, triangular peak on the left acting like a focal point—it is a simplified cityscape and also a series of blueprints overlapping in a dream.
This piece has a clear, rhythmic structure of a great wave. The circular, sweeping motion of the white and light blue at the top creates the undeniable image of a massive, rolling tide curl.
"Love of Lilies" brings a joyful burst of colour and energy to any space. With its striking contrast of deep blues, luminous whites, and vivid pinks set against a radiant yellow backdrop, this piece captures the spirit of blooming flora through sweeping brushwork and bold, expressive outlines.

Narrative and illustrative, a bright pop of red against the monochromatic, vertical forest is incredibly striking. A scene pulled straight out of a modern fairy tale.
A sequel to the previous piece! Trading the cold, bright winter for a lush, mysterious twilight. The lamp post gives it a very strong "Narnia" or urban-fantasy feel—like a secret corner of a park that only appears at night.
Bold, expressive, and feels "alive." The thick, rhythmic brushstrokes and the vibrant contrast between the deep magentas and the lime greens give it a lot of movement. Petal Pulse: For the way the brushstrokes seem to radiate outward.

Plum & Parchment: A nod to the sophisticated color palette of deep purples and cream/yellow tones.
